Aquatechnex Opens Montana Office

Noxon Reservoir Eurasian Milfoil Treatment

Aquatechnex has expanded operations into the State of Montana starting May 1, 2021.

Montana water ways have been plagued by invasive aquatic weeds such as Eurasian Milfoil and are starting to see episodes of Harmful Algae Blooms (HAB).  Aquatechnex biologists are expert in developing and implementing management programs to restore lakes and river systems impacted by these water quality issues.

Montana Eurasian Milfoil and Montana Flowering Rush infestations can be controlled by programs we develop.  Our team has successfully removed Eurasian Milfoil from plots in the Clark Fork River using ProcellaCOR herbicide technology.  This work was performed in the summer of 2019, and evaluation by the State of Montana in the summer of 2020 found that no milfoil remained in these treatment plots.  This technology is available only through Pro Certified Applicators approved by SePRO Corporation.  More information can be found at https://sepro.com/aquatics/procellacor-product

Many lakes in Montana are experiencing toxic HAB conditions, a map of those waterbodies that have or are experiencing toxic events can be viewed at https://mtdphhs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=e8ac7302f8cd4d778461d422492a9d7f

Montana Toxic Algae Blooms can be mitigated in a number of ways by our team.  We have application technologies that will remove the threat.  We also have programs that utilize phosphorus precipitation such as Phoslock to mitigate phosphorus pollution that drives these blooms.
